Anxiety

Acupuncture is an excellent treatment for anxiety. It can cause the nervous system to produce pain killing chemicals, jump starting the bodies natural ability to heal itself, or stimulate the part of the brain that controls emotions including anxiety.
In a published study online in October 2013 in the journal of Acupuncture and Meridian studies, students who underwent a twenty minute acupuncture session were found to have less anxiety and better memory immediately afterwards than those who didn't have acupuncture.
External circumstances beyond your control can set off your anxiety and acupuncture allows your body to take back control.
Researchers at the Georgetown University used lab studies to demonstrate that acupuncture slows the bodies production of stress hormones. Their findings were published in the April 2013 issue of ' The Journal of Endocronology'.
People treated with acupuncture often see results after just one session, and the results improve with continued treatment.

Acupuncture is particularly helpful for people who want to limit or stop drug use, prescription or otherwise. Because it regulates the bodies chemical balance naturally. Acupuncture can even prevent people from needing medication at all.

Tui Na and Anxiety
Tui Na (Chinese medical massage) which is deeply nourishing and relaxing is also very effective at relieving anxiety and stress. It promotes sleep and supports those with high anxiety and mental health issues.

Gua Sha and Anxiety
Gua Sha is also tremendously helpful for anxiety, fatigue and insomnia and is very powerful when done in addition to acupuncture, as it releases the tension headaches and teeth grinding so often seen with anxiety.

Chinese Fire Cupping for Anxiety
Chinese Fire Cupping helps with anxiety further by indirectly activating your parasympathetic nervous system as the cups glide over your body. The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for lowering your heart rate and helping with digestion. When active the parasympathetic nervous system produces a calm and relaxing feeling in your body and mind. This reaction can loosen tension in your body which will result in a reduction of stress and anxiety.
Cupping promotes better sleep quality by reducing pain and removing toxins from the body. Allowing for longer consistent sleep helps with mental and physical recovery. It is well documented that there is a correlation between lack of sleep and people who  are prone to suffering with anxiety. As well as people suffering from anxiety having a hard time staying asleep. Without the rejuvinating effects of a good nights sleep, it is possible for people to spiral into an unhealthy cycle that can be dangerous for their mental health.
